At least she eats

So sitting with a bunch of moms yesterday while Vail was off doing her gymnastics birthday party thing, I had to smile. Moms talked about how their children slept fourteen hours (what??), how they still use their pacifiers (at 3 and 4 years of age) for sleeping, how they had surgeries for crazy stomach ailments, $25 formula (per container). My word. So I am thankful that even if she doesn't yet sleep through every night, at least she eats.

Most of the time.

Last night:

Presidential chicken
Carrots with brown sugar
Corn souffle.

Vail remarks that the "Corn doesn't smell that bad" and that she'll try it. She ate the corn. One bite of the carrots and out they came. They weren't going in. Chicken, she told Marmee she'd rather have chicken nuggets. Sorry baby, its just not your way anymore. Eat the chicken. Two bites of chicken.

That's it.

This morning, she ate two whole eggs. I'm sure she was famished. She'll get it eventually.

Oh, and the corn souffle was amazing. Thanks, Mom.
